She Sells, Sea Shells...

Second grader, Samantha Santiago, raises money for the Katrina victims on Sunday in front of their home - the Sea Castle, by selling sand dollars for one dollar each on Sunday September 18, 2005. Her family lived in the sea castle when the North ridge Earthquake hit and forced them to move out of the building because it was red tagged. They were thank full to receive help from the red cross then and this is a way for them to repay the red cross

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM: (top) Sam Barr, A Pal kid/volunteer and Santa Monica High school incoming Freshman, (just graduated from Lincoln Middle School) helps hand out lunch to local children at PAL on June 30. 2005. John Adams Middle School and PAL offer a free summer lunch program to children and teens 18 years and younger. Program runs June 27th thru September 2 from 12pm to 1pm. (bottom) PAL Program supervisor Karen Humphrey, hands out lunch to children.
