K 9 volunteers from the People-Animal Connection (PAC) program visit with guest at Pacific Park during the 7th annual Mattel Party on Saturday, September 30, 2006. From Left to right: Penelope, 3, a Boston Terrier and Chihuahua mix, Dreamer, 4, a Great Pyrenees, and Falken, 2, a black Lab. PAC volunteer-dog teams offer companionship and warmth to critically ill children and adults. The program was founded to enhance physical healing and emotional well-being through the canines' instinctive bond with patients of all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic levels.
