False alarm

False alarm: Santa Monica Boulevard, at Fourth Street, was closed to traffic on Thursday morning for more than an hour as emergency responders investigated a reported bomb scare at Hooters restaurant. According to SMPD Lt. Frank Fabrega, an explosives detecting dog was brought to the scene and a search of the restaurant was conducted. The area was ultimately deemed safe.

An Officer involved shooting on Pico bolovard created a lock down with in the Pico-Cloverfield neighborhood  on Thursday Feb 2, 2006.  Officers inspect the suspects abandoned van on 17 nth street. Bullet hole is shown in the window of the suspects car. Offer was hit in the wrist by bullet. He has been treated and released from the hospital. Police fired no shots.
