Master Chef of Thailand
Thai-Master Chef, TV personality and author M.L. Sirchalerm Svasti, aka McDang, brings out a dish of 'Sunkist Orange Salad with Smoked Salmon' during the “Taste of Thailand” culinary event at The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles on Friday. McDang taught a two week class on traditional Thai cuisine to the students of the Art Institute. The master chef and his students presented several dishes for guests at the culinary event. The Taste of Thailand was presented by The Art Institute in conjunction with Thai Consulate of Los Angeles. The Thai Consulate of Los Angeles is trying to promote Thai food and culture.

The brass section of the Santa Monica High School marching band practices during Band Camp on Friday, August 25, 2006. Today was the last day of the two week long camp. Camp was held from 12pm to 9pm.
