Dean Schneider, a 16 year old Junior, shows off his art work to his mother, Laurie Jacoby at Roberts Art Gallery during the opening reception of the Day of the Dead Exhibit in Santa Monica High School on Thursday, November 2, 2006. The show consists of ceramics, drawings, wire and plaster sculptures. The show runs through November 17 and is by appointment. Roberts Art Gallery is the oldest gallery in Santa Monica dating back to 1937.

Dreams

Local artist Rochelle Fabb hangs up a "Scrim" inside of the Virginia Avenue Park's Teen Center in preparation for their opening reception and art show called "In Between Worlds" on Thursday, November 2, 2006. The exhibit is the culmination of a 6 week Dream Journal workshop (15 kids participated from ages 14 to 22) taught by Fabb.The show runs from November 2 through the 22nd. The workshop was made possible by the Santa Monica City Cultural Affairs Division Co-Arts grant program.
