The Chief and Mr. Cool
Santa Monica Police Department Mounted Division Officer Phillbo Rubish gives directions to SMPD Chief Timothy Jackman while he gallops on Mr.Cool, a 20 year old Quarter Horse, during a private equitation lesson at Will Rogers State Park on Monday, June 11, 2007. Mr. cool has been working for SMPD since he was 13 years old. He is the senior horse in the department and is scheduled to retire as soon as they can find his replacement.
