On Wednesday, Bob Walters, 70, aka "The Sheik of Santa Monica" stands out in front of the Santa Monica Car Sound store at  1453 Lincoln Blvd holding a plastic saber in one hand and a sign and a cigar in the other hand as he greets and attracts customers into the store. He works from 9am to 6pm - six days a week. (mon thru sat) He has been working there for the past 12 weeks. Walters dresses up in many different costumes, recently he was dressed up as Santa Klaus and Elvis Presley. Walters said that he smokes 20 cigars per day, while he works his eight hour shift, and another six cigars when he gets home from work. Walters only started smoking cigars five years ago after a near death experience, he said on Wednesday.
