Something Modern! Something Wicked!





The Santa Monica Theatre Arts and Musical Department perform a variety of hit musical numbers from all- American musicals during their Musical Theatre Workshop: "Something Modern! Something Wicked" at SMC's Studio Stage on Thursday, November 15, 2007. The Musical Theatre Workshop was directed by Theatre Arts Department Chair Professor Perviz Sawoski, Musical Direction by Professor Frank Turner and Gary Gray was the Accompanist. The next performances will be on Friday, Nov 16 & Saturday, November 17, 8:00pm - Sunday, November 18, 2:00pm. Asian and Tribal Art Show




1,2) Visitors look at Ke-Sook Lee's art installation, "Seed Pods" (Apron) made of thread, tarlatan, and earth pigment in the George Billis Gallery during the 17th Annual Los Angeles Asian and Tribal Art Show at the Santa Monica Civic Center on Sunday, November 11, 2007. The show featured a wide selection of internationally renowned art dealers/galleries specializing in antique and contemporary Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Central South Asian) and Tribal (African, New Guinea and The Americas) art. 3) Oumar Keinde show off his African Art during the show. 4) Karen Burns and her grandmother Marie Burns arrive at the art show in their Bedouin dresses.
