Sweatshop Watch, a California-wide coalition, protested  in front of Levi Strauss and CO's flagship store at the Third Street Promenade on Saturday. They complained about the abuse of garment workers in the Lajat factory in Gomez Palacio, Mexico.  They want to talk to Levis and address the sweatshop conditions including: Unpaid overtime, lack of access to drinking water and clean bathrooms, exposure to dangerous chemicals, denial of freedom of association. Because Levi's is Lajat's largest client, workers and their supporters are calling for Levi's to ensure workers rights are respected at the factory and are asking Levi' to Enforce its Code of Conduct and Respect Workers' Right to Organize!
